We were delighted to be invited recently to take part in Blog Action Day on October 15th 2008!
Each blogger brings their own perspective and ideas to their blog post, and each blogger engages their audience differently.
On Blog Action Day, the blogging community effectively changes the conversation on the web and focuses audiences around the globe on that issue. Out of this discussion naturally flow actions, advice, ideas and plans.
In 2007 on the theme of the Environment, bloggers ran environmental experiments, detailed innovative ideas on creating sustainable practices and brought attention to organizations and companies promoting green agendas.
Blog Action Day is about mass participation and anyone is free to join in! There is no limit on the number of posts, the type of posts or the direction of thoughts and opinions.
StatCounter will be taking part in Blog Action Day on October 15th, and we encourage our members to think about participating also.

Thanks for the heads up on that StatCounter, gonna go look at their site now.
Thanks so much StatCounter! We love you!
Interesting, I’ve never heard about it before. I might give it a try with my blog. Thanks for the heads up.
I will give this a try as well. Thanks for the information. I’ll pass it along.
The “blog” is at this times the voice of the world,
to give a voice to every one without exceptions
Its free and anyone can express their opinion.

Love you Statcounter!
We will join you on Blog Action Day……….global poverty is a great issue to blog.
This is nice movement, as politicians controls media and they only need to feed their greed with corruption.
So we need to use our MEDIA. We might not change anything but we might show the way to fight corrupted system that produces wars (for profit).
I hadn’t heard of this one before but it sounds like a great idea. I certainly will be posting on the subject of global poverty on 15th October. I dont suppose it will make that much a difference in practice but it will help to show that there are many people concerned with the issue.
Interesting news. I’ll join on blog action day.
poverty is a major issue and we’ve to do something to solve this problem
I love it…count me in.
Count me in too……..I will be blogging about global poverty on Blog Action Day.
Thanks, Jen!
Raising awareness to help alleviate poverty is one of the main focuses of the charity and its blog (starthrower-foundaiton.blogspot.com) that I work on.
I will make it a point to post on that day.
What would assist blogs/ bloggers would be a kind of webring linking to take place. As each blog gets pulled into the group by mutual links, the entire group raises to the top in the search results.
So here is a suggestion: when we find each other we should link to each other. What do you say?
Thanks for the use full information.
Yeah fully support and write a post to promote it!

Really happy to participate in the event like this, thanks for sharing!
I’ve heard about it but never really knew what it was all about. Plan on being more active in it next year.
Finish with the Hunger!
Finish with the Poverty!
Finish with the War!
Live, simply live!

This is interesting. Blogs have *huge* publicity and readership nowadays, so events like this can actually get attention of a large number of people with minimal cost.
I admit I haven’t ever even heard about it, but I think I’ll probably join on October 15th with one of my blogs.
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll definitely participate.
i will surely join in
thanks for posting
Does anyone among you bloggers know how it is to be poor?

Hi China Tea,
Its just me AKA DSL Guy. I think I can honestly say I have come from the gutter to becoming a viable participant in my community. Yes, I have been homeless before. I know what it’s like to be alone, hungry and cold with no where to go.
I am sure others knew it too by the way I smelled. Usually like the salty Pacific Ocean. At that time the Pacific was my bath tub.
I am here today by God’s Grace so I suppose I was never really all alone.
Take Care China,
Sincerely Danny
Thanks for the StatCounter! Great Service!
