StatCounter – Now 5 Times Better – FREE!

Hi folks,

We’ve been busy in the background optimising our systems to allow us to bring you even more for FREE.

We’re very pleased to let you know today that every StatCounter project now comes with a log size of 500 – you guessed it – FREE!

This means that you can now drill down into the detail of the last 500 pageloads on your site. And, of course, you still have LIFETIME summary stats on ALL your visitors.

500

Here’s what we did:

We took the old free log size of 100 and multiplied it by 5 to give you even more info on your visitors. Please note that this increase applies to ALL StatCounter members, and to ALL projects!

Here’s what you have to do now:

    Free Members:
To increase your log size, log into StatCounter and click the wrench icon beside your project. Click ‘Adjust Log Size’, and enter 500 in the box. Click ‘Adjust Project Log’ and you’re done!

    Upgraded Members:
To increase your log-size, log into StatCounter and click the wrench icon beside your project. Click ‘Adjust Log Size’, and increase your log by an extra 400 (your current log already includes the first free 100!). Click ‘Adjust Project Log’ and you’re done!

All the best,

The StatCounter Team

PS: StatCounter is the great service it is today as a result of the loyalty and support of you, our members. We couldn’t have done it without you!

With your continued support we hope to improve the service even further! Don’t forget that the more members we have, the more we’ll be able to give you FREE! So, if you like StatCounter, why not recommend us to your friends, family or anyone with a website???!!! Thanks folks!

  1. NICE!

I was almost ready to get a new stat program b/c of the “limited memory” of statcounters statistics..

so this is a very welcome addition to the service.

    THANKS.

  2. Its great help for user like us. It was really helpful with old format and now with new enhanced format we will get more benifit.

    Thank you.

  3. Much thank: The site I use StatCounter for does not get a tremendous amount of traffic, which I would not expect, given the nature of the site.

The site belongs to a non-profit organization, which has very limited funds; paying to upgrade StatCounter would not be a good use of those funds, which really need to be used in the park itself..

StatCounter has been quite helpful to us; we greatly appreciate the new limit of five hundred. Even with our limited traffic, this upgrade will help me keep the volunteer board better informed as to how the site is being used.

  9. WOW, thnx guys sooo much 4 this, i thot 100 was just a little too small but for a free service 500 is now off the chain!!! many thnx and keep up the good work, also please visit my site, many thnx for reading.

  10. Thanks a lot StatCounter! It’s a very generous service you offer.

  11. Great work, very good service for me and my clients.
Most of them or just SMB and don’t have the money yet for full statistics.

Now I can work even better on optimizing there sites!

If have to go with Bitcloud on the referring URLs up to 150 characters limit.
For most search referrals that’s enough, but since I also get a lot of Google Image search referrals the link stops and I cannot see what people searched for…

But I am VERY happy with your service, now even 5 times happier 🙂

  12. Well here am I to say thank you. That’s the least I can do.

Since a few asked for a feature resquest while saying thank you I will do the same. 🙂 A few got an answer. What about a sort feature in our My Projects list so we can see them like we want them listed? How I solved it for now is beginning every project name with 1a, 1b, 1c, 2a, 3a, 3b, etc. so this way I see all project 1 for and sorted with the a, b and c then regrouped is project 2, etc. Not a big deal since one done you don’t touch it often but less funny when it’s time to do an insert.

    Kudos!

  13. Hi,
I’m grateful for your wonderful service. Just wondering…would I need to do a new ‘Install Code’ on all pages after ‘Adusting Log Size’?

Thank you so very much for everything!!!

    StatCounter Team Response:

The short answer is…NO! Just adjust your log size and that’s it!

    Thanks!

  14. This is great news, but I think I may be having a problem. Under “Adjust Log” I updated to my new log size to 1500, but the total under “New Log Size” stayed at 1000.

    StatCounter Team Response:

We’ll get in touch about this shortly Debra!

    Thanks!

  15. Excellent. My website doesn’t get enough visitors to really make use of the increased log yet, but it’s very awesome to know anyway.
