We’re excited to announce the launch of one of the most requested features in Statcounter. Heatmaps offer a quick way to see which parts of a webpage are getting the most engagement with coloured hotspots representing the concentration of clicks in different areas.
This birds-eye view of your visitors’ click activity gives you the necessary insights to make the right decisions about content and the placement of elements on the page for optimal engagement.
What’s different about Statcounter heatmaps?
Heatmaps in Statcounter work a little differently to most heatmap tools. Instead of a static screenshot of your webpage, our special interactive heatmaps enable you to see the clicks on the hidden dynamic elements within your web pages such as mobile menus, popup windows, carousels and slideshows.
How do heatmaps help?
Heatmaps give you an overview of how your visitors are interacting with your web pages. They offer a quick way to see where you could optimize your pages for more engagement, more sales and a better experience for your visitors.
- Quickly see the areas on your website that get the most attention
- Uncover the elements that are being ignored or going unnoticed by your visitors
- Reveal the friction points where your visitors are clicking on elements that aren’t links.
Heatmaps are a great complement to Session Replay in how they help to isolate problems that many visitors are encountering before you drill down to a more granular view of each individual session with Session replay.
Select Heatmaps in the left menu in your Statcounter project to get started.
