Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Folks,

We’ve been watching the StatCounter stats for our blog with interest over the last few days…

We can’t help with Polish or Italian but we can certainly tell you how to say Happy St. Patrick’s Day in Irish…

Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Duit (to one person)
(Pronounced: Law ale-ah paw-rig sun-ah ditch)

Lá Fhéile Pádraig Sona Daoibh (to more than one person)
(Pronounced: Law ale-ah paw-rig sun-ah deev)

An Old Irish Blessing
“May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.”

From our HQ in Dublin, Ireland the StatCounter Team wishes you all a very happy St Patrick’s Day!

PS: Now – it’s over to you! How do you say Happy St Patrick’s Day in YOUR language?!

  1. I am late. I don’t know the day, but I will say “Happy St Patrick’s Day!” to my friend next year 2011

  2. What happens to the stat counter when you reach 1 million page loads? I’m getting very close but I there are only 6 digits available in the counter and I’m worried it’s just going to roll over to zero.

  3. I love statcounter. It’s the best internet site counter out there. Far superior to the competition.

    Thanks for being there!

  4. Firing up languages. I happen to be able to speak 4 languages perfectly but this is my first time I am hearing about Irish. I thought they speak English in Ireland. I must be dumber than I thought. Anyway I will like to use this opportunity to say “Happy Saint Patrick’s Day” to every one. Then thank the statcounter team for making this tool still free.

Sorry but I have no idea how they say that in Japanese??? 🙁

  8. I say St. Patrick’s Day with words and custom pictures in my blog in honor of my friend Patrick Brady. The four concepts represented by a four leaf clover: http://thedecoratedtree.blogspot.com/2010/03/faith-hope-love-and-luck.html (although shamrocks are discussed too).
