SC4 and Beyond…!

Folks,

In the last few days we have completed conversion of all StatCounter projects to our new SC4 platform.

Some of the key differences with this update include:

  • Exit Link Stats
  • Download Stats
  • Faster Loading Keyword and Country Stats
  • Improved reliability and redundancy
  • Improved loading speed of StatCounter code
  • Greater technical flexibility to allow for continued system improvements

We want to take this opportunity to thank you for your patience and support during the period of the conversion – it took much longer than we had wanted or expected so we are absolutely delighted that all members now have access to the improved features.

As mentioned above, our new system provides us with lots of flexibility to continue to improve the service we offer… so we are combing through our forum and support system and putting together an action plan of updates and improvements for StatCounter. In addition, we’d be very grateful for your help…

    • Is there a statistic or feature that you would like to see on StatCounter?
    • If there was one thing you could change about StatCounter what would it be?
    • Is there any way that we could make StatCounter easier to use?
    • How could StatCounter be even more useful to you?

If you have a bright idea, then please post it here!

Any and all suggestions will be of great help to us in charting our way forward as we continue to strive to provide you, our members, with the best service we possibly can.

  1. Hi, Sir Your service to me and obviously to thousands of users of your good stat counter service was very nice without this SC4 update. Now this will serve with better opportunity to the users. Some times I hope to donate to your service. You may consider to place a paypal Donate button to users projects account form. Your service to me is so useful and beneficial to me that I can’t go to sleep with out checking my sites stats once in the stat counter. I agree there are others free web stat service. But yours is great one. It is very much user friendly and never any mode of annoyance to the users.

Wish you many more success and long living.

    Happy Stat Counter upgrade!

  2. SEO Stats?
That would make it a one-stop place to monitor and improve the health of project pages?

  3. With your old system or your new conversion, is it possible for someone to use Ripper and use a false IP? I have Lockheed Martin Corp. hitting all my sites with Ripper. Its IP is listed as

    Media, Pennsylvania, United States
    Lockheed Martin Corporation (192.91.172.42)

According to my research, the above Lockheed IP is listed on some sites as: Glenmoore, PA 19343
    Organization Lockheed Martin Corporation
    ISP Lockheed Martin Corporation

Either way, it appears as if it is Lockheed. Why would Lockheed be visiting travel blogs and religious blogs with Ripper? I’ve notified Lockheed, but who knows if I will hear anything.

  4. A feature I would really like to see in Statcounter is the ability to sort your projects window by daily hits, what I mean is something similar to a price comparison site where you can choose to view the list of products and in our case stat results from highest to lowest, this would help me greatly! thanks Dan

  5. it’s a great work and very useful
i think there aren’t any thing else to do

  6. I have been using statcounter since my first blog. Keep up the good work!:)

  7. I use a lot of RSS feeds to monitor the web. I would be great if I could get a report every day showing that days’ traffic. Of course doing this every couple of hours would be even better but once a day would be a help.

Thanks for a great piece of kit.

  8. Beautiful! Since I am still a free user 😉 It can be a great option to use. It will be good if I get some more features. What difficulty I face sometimes, if that my stats are not ordered according to the date. How can I see all stats strictly datewise? Thanks

  9. I have been using statcounter since my first geocities blog. It is working fine and gives more information of the visitor.

It is a great work! I love Statcounter. Thank you team.

    My interest:
    ONLINE VISITOR STATUS LIST

    Keep it up!

  10. Thank you for the new features. I really can’t resist using Statcounter because I’ve been a fan of this way back two years ago.

There’s a lot of product like yours but I did find Statcounter more accurate in my experience. There’s G. Analytics but I don’t enjoy it that much I would still prefer to check my stats here.

Again, thank you for the new features. Love it guys.

  11. When I look at all my projects I would love to customize the view so I can see the visitor count, not the page count. That would be very helpful. Thanks!!!

    1. Kimberly,

      You can ALREADY do this!

Log in to StatCounter. Go to My Profile. Click “Edit Profile”. At the end of the page change the “My Projects Display Metric” to “Unique Visitors”. Click “Update My Profile” and you’re done!

  12. Another problem that I am having is that I can’t use any new project codes because they show visible. but the codes I made for other projects a long time ago, work… and I have to reuse them. I put the code on my Karaoke songs.. and I really don’t want my code showing.

  13. REALLY??!!!!!

Tell me how! where do I put it? Will you fix the code below and paste it here for me? lol! 🙂 Here is my code…

    a title=”hit counter” href=”http://www.statcounter.com/” target=”_blank”>

  14. I would love for my invisible code to STAY invisible even when the server is down.. perhaps removing the href code that turns into a clickable link when the server crashes.. the whole purpose of choosing an invisible tracker is that you want to be undetected… even when the server crashes.

    1. You can ALREADY do this SnuggleBunny!

You just need to add sc_invisible=1; to your code.

  15. Kinda what the guy above said, I’d like to see a way to view multiple projects a little easier than the standard snapshot that is currently available.

Another quick thing is that I have a couple separate accounts I’d love to be able to link together. One was started by another site before I took over their projects and I wish I could combine them so I would only have to login once.

    1. Hi Seal,

You can ALREADY merge projects from different StatCounter accounts!

Just transfer all your projects into ONE account and that means you only have to log in once.

      Here’s how.

  16. I would love to see a customizable main page where I can add different charts from different projects from within one account and get a snapshot of all the different reports I usually have to dig into each project to see.

Honestly though, I love SC as it is, so even if you don’t add it…I’m ok with that 🙂

  17. I just wanted to tell you I was disappointed to get up today and find none of the lovely allposters 18th and 19th century paintings that were moving along the borders of statcounter as ads. What happened to them? I am really missing them!! Hope you put them back soon.
